Neat tea a top tip for cheating your age
Neat tea a top tip for cheating your age
- Caroline Marcus in the Sunday Age, 6th September 2009, writes:
“Drinking tea (yep – Kath) keeping a tidy desk (erk!) and looking at old photographs (yep) can keep you feeling young.
Breaking routines, snacking at least every four hours (or less), doing the housework (errr), putting on a happy face (esp when eating chocolate) and forgoing meat once a week can also keep the years at bay.
Researchers cite a love of a cup of tea (helps blood vessels to relax), uncluttered surfaces (de-stresses and boosts concentration) and regularly poring over old photo albums (lifts mood more than wine, chocolate or music) (whaaaat?) as ingredients to feeling youthful.”
She goes on to write about middle aged women feeling younger and being healthier than their mothers were at their age but “the adage ‘never ask a woman her age or weight’ is only half true: 82% said they would rather reveal their age than their weight.” Now THAT I can believe!
….but wouldn’t a cup of hot chocolate be nicer?
